Let me introduce to you the brain child of someone whose gotten called picky a few too many times when it comes to their cannabis flower choices. This space is about advocating for more truly medicinal choices in Oklahoma Medical Dispensaries as well as advocating for better quality herbal material overall.
In a world of legal medical, there really isn't an excuse to having your flower smell like mold. Then if you open a bag and it smells like hay, the grower probably rushed the dry process. So we have quality issues here, but on top of the quality issues we also seem to have a problem with producers tunnel visioning on high THC content vs. balanced THC:CBD strains with good terpene content. You can get your socks knocked off at 12% THC if the terpene profile is healthy and matches what you're looking to get out of a strain. You can also take some 30% THC flower without concern of the terpene content and end up only mildly impacted. When the producers tunnel vision on the high THC market what they are really saying, in my opinion, is fuck you patients, this is pay to play recreational.
As someone with an inflammatory auto-immune issue its super important my medicine actually treats me. THC only connects with 2 receptors in the body while CBD connects with so far 65 different receptors all throughout your ECS. CBD being the more anti-inflammatory cannabinoid that's what I'm going to look for when I go shopping because its not a one trick pony and I wont be inebriated or impaired throughout my day by consuming products with high CBD to THC ratios. Such as 10:1 and 20:1. Another thing that really makes it appear to me that producers are treating this as pay to play recreational is the lack of diversity in edible dosing. Tell me its so hard to find edible dosing lower than 25mg that does not come from the hemp market? Shoot there are 33mg suckers as the lowest dose I can find for those. I would love to see more 2-5mg THC gummy/hard candy options with 10-20mg CBD dosing. That for me would mellow anxiety, maintain daily CBD dosing for flare up prevention, keep tolerances low, and again NOT INEBRIATE ME. A lot of patients still need to maintain functional lives, but with the dosing in the stores they are saving their medication for before bedtime so that they aren't intoxicated throughout the day.
This is a topic I'm very passionate about and want to inspire others to share their experiences as well. I want to independently purchase and review growers, so definitely look for those videos. On top of that I'm going to share my journey growing my medicine and candy making as well. Don't expect super fancy, just expect honest. I'm tired of the hype, I'm tired of moldy or hay rank bags. I'm tired of cutting gummies in half.
I'm also dead tired of social media censorship around this topic. They can profit off of item sales, but heaven forbid people openly talk about this plant. Thus, this website is independently hosted on an old computer using opensource or freeware software. Thanks for reading this far.
Hope to see you in the future!
